Processors and other recipients
- Vercel hosts the site and serverless functions and may process technical request data.
- AgentMail sends contact-form submissions and assistant logs to Joel's business email.
- DeepSeek processes assistant prompts and replies when the production server is configured with a DeepSeek API key. The code can alternatively use OpenAI when configured with an OpenAI API key.
- Cal.com receives booking information only after you follow the external booking link and submit details there. No Cal.com embed loads on joelevert.com.
- Professional advisers, service providers or public authorities may receive information where necessary for accounting, legal claims, security or a legal obligation.
International transfers
Some providers operate outside the EEA. AgentMail and Cal.com state that information may be processed in the United States. DeepSeek states that it processes and stores personal data in the People's Republic of China. The production account's specific contractual transfer mechanisms are not documented in this website source. If you do not want assistant text processed outside the EEA, do not use the assistant; email Joel instead.

Retention
Enquiries, booking correspondence and assistant logs are kept only while needed to respond, evaluate or manage the relationship, protect the service, or establish or defend claims, then deleted or anonymised. If an enquiry becomes a client engagement, relevant contract, delivery, invoice and transaction records are retained for the engagement and afterward for the periods required by applicable bookkeeping, tax and limitation rules. Hosting and provider logs follow the applicable provider and account settings.
Operational retention schedule pending. The website source does not evidence fixed deletion periods or automated deletion for email, assistant logs or provider logs. Joel must approve and operate a documented schedule before launch; until then, requests for access or deletion can be sent to JE@joelevert.com.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in data-protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it. You may also complain to the Danish supervisory authority, Datatilsynet. Datatilsynet recommends contacting the controller first where possible.
