What I automate.
Most accounting automation projects do not start with a new platform. They start with a finance team moving data between Excel, ERP exports, inboxes, bank files, approval notes, and reporting templates. I map that workflow, find the repeatable checks, and build the automation around the tools already in place.
Reconciliations
Matching, exception lists, monthly control checks, bank files, GL exports, and repeatable sign-off packs.
Month-end close
Close checklists, recurring data pulls, variance notes, handoffs, and reporting steps that no longer need manual assembly.
Invoice workflows
Invoice classification, routing, validation, approval preparation, and exception queues for AP or AR teams.
Built for existing systems.
JE Advisory is for finance teams that cannot rip out the ERP, wait for a large transformation programme, or ask IT for a six-month project. The work is practical: Excel, Office Scripts, Power Automate, ERP exports, SharePoint folders, inboxes, and carefully scoped AI where it helps with classification, drafting, matching, or review.
Based near Copenhagen and Køge. Best fit: Danish SMEs, Nordic-facing companies, and finance teams comfortable working in English.
Proof from finance operations.
Before JE Advisory, I ran the travel and expense finance function at the University of Iceland from 2019 to 2025. The results below are internally measured results from that finance function, shared as anonymised case notes.
Start with a finance process audit.
The low-risk entry point is a finance process audit and automation roadmap. I map one or two accounting processes, identify where time and errors enter the workflow, and give you a ranked list of what to automate first, what it saves, and what it will take to build.
Starting at DKK 9,900. Scope confirmed before work begins.
Accounting automation FAQ.
What accounting processes can be automated?
Common candidates are reconciliations, invoice routing and validation, month-end close checklists, Excel reporting packs, ERP export cleanup, approval handoffs, and recurring control checks.
Do I need to replace my ERP or accounting system?
No. The point is to improve the workflow around the tools you already use. That usually means Excel, ERP exports, folders, email, approvals, and documented exception handling.
Where in Denmark do you work?
I am based in Køge and work with finance teams in Copenhagen, Zealand, and remote-friendly Danish or Nordic companies.
Is this accounting outsourcing?
No. JE Advisory does not replace your accountant or bookkeeper. The work is process automation: making recurring finance work faster, clearer, and easier to control.
